Mentorship Program

About the Mentorship Program

First introduced in Spring 2013, the Mentorship Program aims to provide personal-level counseling to pre-med students. In this program, each underclassman or first year transfer mentee pairs up with one upperclassman mentor who will assist them in their pre-med path. The mentors will have one-on-one meeting with their mentees three times per quarter. During the meeting, discussions can include anything the mentee is curious about, such as, pre-med classes at UC Davis, finding a lab research position, or how to study for the MCAT.  At the end of the quarter, both the mentees and the mentors will have a chance to attend a medical student panel, an event that is exclusively for members in the mentorship program! Mentors will attend a one-time training event that will provide them with all the information and resources they will need.
